In 2020, I began delving into the higher aspects of myself, immersing myself in spiritual literature, with guidance from my mentor.
This journey turned me into a spiritual sponge, absorbing insights about psychic powers like telepathy, clairaudience, and clairvoyance.
Initially I believed these were advanced techniques only accessible to enlightened souls and gurus.
As I further progressed in my practice, I realized these abilities were not skills to acquire but inherent gifts that you strengthen.
My grandmother has always been a vivid dreamer, and would have dreams about her friends and loved ones. If it scared her enough, she would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, call whoever she dreamt about and tell them about it.
One night, she had an especially violent dream about a particular man who she had helped raise since he was a child.
She called him that night:
“I had a dream that a bunch of men beat you and broke your legs! You were laying splayed out in the street as they laughed at you while you bled…”
She started to cry on the phone.
“Are you okay?”
He chuckled at her concern. “It’s okay, boss, it was just a dream. You know I can handle myself on these streets.”
A month or two after this late night phone call, she received another call from him.
“You witch! How’d you know that was going to happen to me?”
He called her from home, laid out on his couch. Both his legs in casts. He had been attacked a week ago by some people he owed money.
Her gift of clairvoyance was so strong that even though she hasn’t done any practical exercises to strengthen it, she can receive her visions in dreams.
Many people misunderstand these gifts. A vision is not like watching TV; it’s perceived through the third eye, not through the eyes of this realm.
Imagine this…
There’s a green house in a secluded, woodsy area. There are vines that are overgrown, and block some of the windows. In the distance you hear a dog barking. The smell of wet grass and rain fill you as you take a breath in. There’s a lake nearby, and there’s an weathered rowboat that’s partially sunken. Fish twitch with life as they nibble at the algae that covers the surface. You feel whole.
I use this as an example to illustrate relying on senses that go beyond the physical.
Visual transmissions in meditation are similar to this visualization, and can become quite strong with proper development.
I was meditating late at night, practicing pranayama, resting my hands on a teddy bear laid in my lap.
I started to hear birds.
I’m in a circus tent– an older one, with a giant sand pit in the center where the ring master would stand.
Birds chirp happily outside the tent.
A humanoid entity stand in a bear costume that was too big. The eyeholes in the head of the costume cast dark shadows on the blood-shot eyes that stare at me from inside.
It wears a tall black top-hat, and smells of dried blood.
I shook in fear at the sight of the bear.
My body tightens slightly at the sight of it.
I wear my silk harem pants, with a white bandaged kantana strapped to my back. I slowly reach for the katana as I cautiously approach.
I circle the bear, the sand crunching underneath my feet. It’s dead eyes follow me, but it makes no movement.
It has no intention of stopping me.
Lunging, I slash the bear in the torso and leap back, sliding backwards in the sand. It slumps forward. It makes no noise. It continues to stare at me vacantly.
I lifted the curtains to the tent and walked outside.
There’s lush forest all around, and mountains as far as I can see. A bengal tiger lay by the exit. As soon as it sees me, it lazily stands and walks to me, waiting for me to climb onto its back.
It was waiting for me to finish my battle.
The tiger runs, I feel the fresh the wind on my face. I reach my hands into the back of the tiger, tangling its fur in my fingers.
My fingers intertwined in the fur of the teddy bear, and I jumped.
Vivid imagination is crucial for unlocking your psychic gifts, and allows you to connect with your higher aspects.
Whenever you think you imagine hearing something, seeing something, or having a dream that feels a little too real– you must trust that this is part of your higher aspects coming through and awakening.
I share a mentor’s quote, “You can’t imagine something that doesn’t already exist.”
Imagination is really a channeling of something before it exists, or a peep hole into a different dimension.
Trustlucid thoughts, sights, sounds, and smells, even dreams that feel too real.
They’re there to guide you.
